Rich Martin has just completed the theatrical mix for a music documentary, following the life and work of Canadian musician Al Tuck. He’s not a household name, but his music runs deep for many within Canada’s alternative and folk scenes.
Filmmaker Brian Harrington spent years returning to Nova Scotia, spending time with Al and the people in his orbit, gently teasing out what makes his music so admired by alumni of the Halifax Pop Explosion and how the life around that music has unfolded on its own terms.
Jim Hosking's surreal comedy appears in this year's list of the best films you may not have seen in The Guardian. "This film is a genuine, unrepeatable one-off, worth seeing for its sheer bloodymindedness alone."
Rerecording Mixer : Rich Martin
Directed by DBLG, the brand identity for this year's London Fim Festival has been released. Music composition and 5.1 cinema mix by Rich Martin
Rich was delighted to help out Sleaford Mods with a bit of a mix on this polemical promo for new single Megaton. It features the first known deployment of the new, yet almost ubiquitous sound of London, the chirp of a stolen lime bike.
The trailer is out for Jim Hosking's madly brilliant Feature comedy - Ebony and Ivory. The film itself marks Rich Martin's first feature length sound mix.
